Acolytes serves two purposes. The first is to be a gateway wine, introducing wine lovers to Santa Barbara County through the lens of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and eventually, to OLG and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Vineyard. The second is to be a complementary and affordable alternative to our OLG estate wines. Sourced from premier vineyards throughout Santa Barbara County, the Acolytes wines are delicious, easy to drink and reminiscent of place. In their second vintage, we’ve been able to grow the number of vineyards we’ve sourced from, allowing the wines to be even more representative of the region as a whole.
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
The 2024 Acolytes Pinot Noir pours a dark crimson core with a vivid ruby rim that opens with aromatic notes of black cherry, raspberry bramble, wild strawberry, bay leaf and potting soil. Energetic from entry, the palate is rife with red and blue fruits framed by an elegant structure of soft tannin. Bright acidity throughout, hints of amaro and pomegranate bow the wine out to a close.
